    RayMate is free software under the MIT licence. There is no paid tier waiting behind a feature, no seat count, no sign-up, and nothing that expires in fourteen days. You download it and it works.

    What you do pay for, if you choose to, is the model — and you pay the model's maker directly. Bring an API key, run a model locally with Ollama, or point RayMate at the Claude Code or Codex CLI you are already subscribed to. RayMate never sits between you and your provider, and never marks anything up.

    Hold a key, talk, let go. The text lands where your cursor already is. Parakeet runs entirely on your Mac in 25 languages, or use a cloud service if you prefer.

    Fix the sentence in place

    Select text anywhere, press your shortcut, and the corrected version replaces it. Undo still works — it is your app's own undo.

    Highlight a paragraph in any app and open the panel. The selection comes along as context, so you can just ask your question.

    1. Install it

      Open the disk image and drag RayMate to Applications. macOS will ask for Accessibility and Microphone access the first time you use text actions or dictation.

    2. Connect a model

      Paste an API key, point RayMate at an Ollama server on your machine, or let it find the Claude Code or Codex CLI you already have installed.

    3. Press the hotkey

      ⌥Space opens the panel from anywhere. Change it, and every other shortcut, in Settings.
